When I got the chance to buy a place of my own, I can’t wait to buy new furniture pieces. However, I do not have much free time to go out and shop at malls so I decided to purchase from this particular online furniture store in Singapore.
Risks of Purchasing Online
Even though my parents warned about buying furniture online, I still took the risk. I heard that there is a high chance of getting scammed. I won’t be able to see if their furniture pieces are well-made. It would still be better to go and visit some shops in malls and boutiques. Moreover, it would be dangerous to purchase online if the shop’s payment system is not secured.
Even though I’ve known about the risks, I still chose to try and buy the products of this online furniture shop. I read a lot of good reviews about it, and I had a close friend who tried ordering from them. I went to her house one time, and I saw some of the pieces that she purchased from them. I was so impressed with the quality because they all look modernly stylish. She also said to me that most of them were used for years already.
Moreover, they have physical stores and showrooms in Singapore. I sometimes would check them out whenever I am sceptical about the quality of a specific furniture piece. But, I don’t have the luxury to go out often so oftentimes, I just ordered directly from their online store.
Buying Furniture Online
My favourite thing about buying furniture pieces online is that I get to do it in the comfort of my home. Since I am a busy person, I always get to shop at the wee hours of the night. It’s my only free time so I’m so thankful that online stores exist. Below are some of the other things that I liked the most about online shopping:
Simple Website
About the furniture shop that I mentioned earlier, I’d like to emphasise the design of their website. I like how simple it is because this made it easier to choose among all their coffee tables for sale. Online shops that have a lot of colours and patterns are a huge turn-off for me because I can’t focus on shopping.
Convenient Shopping
Another thing that I liked about their online store is that the products are arranged according to the right categories. This made it easier to navigate their site so I never got lost whenever I had to look for a specific piece like an extendable dining table. Also, they use an add-to-cart system so it’s more convenient to track down all the items that I selected. It also helped know if I went over the budget. I have a limited budget for furniture shopping since I need to prioritise other important stuff like bills and rent.
Warranty
One of the things that attracted me to buy from them is their warranty policy. I was afraid of buying a leather sofa at first because it might get easily damaged. It was a good thing that there is a warranty included in their products. The unique thing about it is that it is broken down into three categories: 5-year warranty for the internal wood frame, 2-year warranty for the foam and springs, and a 1-year warranty for the surface material. In this way, I can rest assured that they will be able to fix all the issues on our sofa. Fortunately, I only got to use the warranty for the foam and springs because the rest of the sofa’s features didn’t show any signs of deterioration during the past few years.
We also tried to purchase a mattress from them and we were surprised to learn from the supplier that its warranty lasts for about 10-15 years! We didn’t hesitate to get one for our house when we knew about this because this just shows how durable their mattresses are.
As for their miscellaneous items in Singapore (ex. dining benches and office chairs), their warranties will last for a year. I think this is already enough because these pieces are not as delicate as the other home furniture items.
Delivery
When I bought some of their office chairs in Singapore, we didn’t expect that these would arrive after three days! It was so fast so we were able to use them right away for our study room in our HDB flat.
I highly recommend Star Living’s online furniture shop. Thanks to them, we were able to get quality furniture for our new home! Plus, they never failed to bring our ordered items in one piece! There were no cracks or defects when we received them!
