Building your love nest can be very exciting and tiring at the same time. My husband and I had just married and are currently staying with his parents. We decided then, however, to get a place of our own and live at our dream house. When my husband told me that he has finally seen a place for us to live in, he was so excited like a little child! And now that our house will be structured soon, we had to immediately decorate the place and shop for furniture. I was just chill about it as I thought it would not be done in a month, and I am hardly the lady-like type who likes to decorate things, and such as I focus more on the practicality.
So when he told me that it will be done in a month and that it must be time for us to look for furniture, I got my phone and looked for furniture. Our interior designer helped us decorate but we have decided to decorate some parts of the house, ourselves. I searched for online furniture shops in Singapore as my husband and I decided that it must be very majestic if we would have teak wood furniture as our main wood furniture.
We decorated our home not that big, and not that small. We would like it if we had enough space for our own privacies, yet maintaining an intimate space. I visited this site called Soul and Tables and was, I admit, lured by the description. When I saw the designs, I was now sure that they are the partners that I want to build our nest with.
For the living room, my husband and I both fell in love with their Burger Coffee Table, Frame Sofa Side Table, Teak Tabwa Console, all in teak wood. They all provided a sophisticated, yet accommodating feel in our living room which we were truly delighted with. The dark teak wood was a perfect match for our minimalist interior, and added a natural fusion as sunlight enters the room.
As for the dining area, we chose the Double Dining Table paired with Upholstered Chair, both in teak wood, as well. I do not know if it is just me but do some teak wood tables give off a Nordic feel? It’s something I really like!
For outdoors, I really wanted that we would have a nice patio where we can chill. We got also a table there, a Circle Dining Table which looks perfect for the patio.
Lastly, for our main love nest, the bedroom, we also thought it would be perfect to have teak wood furniture as well. We got the majestic and elegant Nordic II Bed with Storage in, yes you guessed it, teak wood. We were just thrilled with how simple those all are, yet looking so solemn and soulful.
