When we first bought our own landed house, we got too excited to buy new furniture pieces for our patio. It has always been our dream to build a cosy outdoor space since my husband and I both love the idea of spending the night just chilling and talking outdoors. So, we immediately bought metal chairs and tables. But after a few months, most of them did not last long. There are traces of rust on one of the chair’s legs and the paint started to chip off. One of the reasons why we chose their wood furniture pieces is that most of them look classic and chic. We love how the grain pattern of wood looked so exquisite on our patio. It even matches well with our modern-designed exterior! Plus, it goes well with the natural environment outdoors. It’s like it belongs to the green grass and plants outside. Even though their wooden is said to be used for dining, we still chose to place their dining wooden tables and stools for our patio. Besides, we just added an awning roof so this adds protection to our newly-bought teak furniture pieces.
It is Long-Lasting
We have been using some of their teak wooden pieces for a year already and so far, they’re still standing strong in our patio. Their colours didn’t fade, unlike our previous outdoor furniture. We were expecting it to be infested by quite a few termites by now, but when we had them checked, all of them doesn’t show signs of termite infestation. Moreover, it did not expand nor contract, unlike other wooden furniture.
Moderates Heat
Even though these teak wooden pieces are exposed to sun outside, their surface doesn’t feel harsh on the skin. One time, we left one of the wooden chairs for a few hours outside the patio because we were rearranging the furniture. We forgot about it and left it for a long time because we ate lunch in the middle of rearranging. When we got back, our daughter sat on it and she was surprised that it doesn’t sting nor burn at all. She said that it still feels comfortable to sit on.
